Patriots Set DT Free Anthony Guy, Sr., and Adrian Phillips

FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts – DT Lawrence Guys Sr. and S Adrian Phillips have been released, the New England Patriots announced today.

Guy, 34, has played in 13 NFL seasons, seven of which he spent with the Patriots from 2017 to 23. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound player was a member of the 2018 Super Bowl winning team and was chosen for the Patriots 2010 All-Decade Team. Additionally, he played with the Baltimore Ravens (2014–16), San Diego Chargers (2013–14), Indianapolis Colts (2012–13), and Green Bay Packers (2011). Guy was selected by the NFL in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Arizona State. On March 13, 2017, he signed a contract with New England as an unrestricted free agent from Baltimore. Guy has participated in 177 league games.
