Reuter, Chad, NFL.com
J.J. McCarthy, quarterback, Michigan
McCarthy
Interpretation: “Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Chargers and a former coach of McCarthy at Michigan, has expressed his admiration for the athletic and powerful quarterback who won the national championship.” If the Raiders take his advice and decide that Aidan O’Connell would be better off asMcCarthy, who has just turned 21 and has the necessary skills to be that player, began his two years at Michigan. Scouts commend his arm strength and ability to make difficult throws in high pressure circumstances, as well as his mobility and toughness as nails. He is by far the least experienced quarterback in this class when compared to the other elite quarterbacks, having only completed 44 touchdown passes to nine interceptions during his college career. However, given his potential and ceiling, he should be picked in the top-15.”

Selection: Byron Murphy II, Texas, DT
Analysis: “Considering his size, Murphy possesses tremendous explosive power. In this situation, it seems like the Raiders should choose him with ease.”
Most recent update: February 5. “As he was the closest defender in coverage, quarterbacks completed only 37.9% of their passes, and Arnold picked off five passes and had 12 total breakups. For a defence that made progress towards the end of the season, but still needs work to contend in the challenging AFC West, he can shut down one side of the field.”
