UNC Basketball Big Man Armando Bacot Gets Back to Outworking Foes
UNC Bulls Basketball Big Man Outperforming Opponents Again, Armando Bacot
In Saturday afternoon’s 96-81 home victory over unranked Virginia Tech (14-11, 6-8 ACC), UNC basketball’s Armando Bacot had his fifth consecutive double-double performance. The No. 7 Tar Heels (20-6, 12-3 ACC) rebounded from Tuesday night’s 86-79 setback at Syracuse with a strong effort led by the graduating center’s 25 points and 12 rebounds.
Bacot hasn’t had five consecutive double-double stat lines in ACC play since he had eight in a row in 2021–2022. In addition, the fifth-year Tar Heel’s joint season-high 16 attempts for 11 field goals are more proof of his unexpectedly increased impact on the low post.

“He just sealed the low-post position with great skill. Our players did an extremely good job.
