Washington: Geno Smith, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, will be completely guaranteed on Friday; he currently has $12.7 million remaining on his deal. Sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday that Smith will stay with the team through this week.

According to his contract, Smith’s $12.7 million basic pay for the upcoming season becomes completely guaranteed on Friday, if he stays with the team. Only when Smith agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract in March was that money guaranteed for injuries.
