The Heat are currently experiencing their longest losing run since the 2007–08 campaign, a span of seven games. That season, Miami had the worst record in the league (15-67).
Although the Heat are clearly a much better team now, there are still a lot of issues that need to be resolved. Miami’s most recent home game was against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night; the team will play the Sacramento Kings at home on Wednesday night.Terry Rozier, who was acquired from the Charlotte Hornets last week, has not yet participated in a full Heat practice since joining the team. The Heat will host a film session on Tuesday.
The team might need to have a complete session to get things back on track. Rozier has been attempting to ascertain his precise position on the team. Against the Suns, he scored 21 points on 8 of 14 field goals and 4 of 6 three-pointers, showing that he had finally figured things out.
The Heat drop more in the Eastern Conference standings the longer their losing run lasts. When the league resumes play on Tuesday, Miami (24–23) is ranked sixth in the East.
