According to recent rumours, wide receiver Mike Klis of the team is set to undergo significant adjustments.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton excited about return of Tim Patrick - Mile High Sports

To begin with, Tim Patrick, whose anticipated salary-cap charge for 2024—the last year of his present contract—is estimated to be $15.571 million. If the parties are unable to reach an agreement on a “reduced” contract, Patrick will most likely be dismissed.

“Patrick is the kind of competitor that the Broncos would love to have back, although at a much lower cost. He possesses a team-first mentality and a “I detest the Raiders” mindset. If there is no agreement between the parties about the lower price, a release will occur,” stated Klis on Sunday.

After sustaining an ACL tear and an Achilles tendon rupture in 2021, Patrick, who is in his sixth season with the Broncos, has not participated in gamesin back-to-back training camps — blows that may end a possession receiver’s career because he turns 31 in November.

Patrick is willing to restructure or, if cut, return on a far lesser deal because he has no trade market and little value outside of Denver. Regardless of who starts as quarterback for the team next season, his steady hands and dependability across the middle of the field would be valuable.
