The process, which starts in the fall when scouts and personnel directors travel to watch college football games every weekend in order to find talents, seems never-ending. After creating extensive lists, clubs start the laborious task of learning everything they can about each player.
They accomplish this through a range of activities, including watching all-star game practices, sifting through game footage, and getting up close and personal at the combine, where they can watch players go through drills side by side, speak with team executives one-on-one, and receive comprehensive health reports through in-depth medical exams.
