Despite matching their 9-8 record the season before, the Seattle Seahawks were unable to secure a spot in the playoffs. That can all change next year, especially if the team takes a gamble on Michael Penix Jr. by trading down in the draft.
Even though the Seahawks started the season with a 6-3 record, injuries to key guys, such as Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, Kenneth Walker III, and Devon Witherspoon, led the team to stumble.
Add the fact that the Green Bay Packers claimed the last playoff spot in a three-way tie with Seattle, and the New Orleans Saints didn’t do the Seahawks any favors.

On the other hand, adding Penix can help the team make it back to the postseason. The Washington Huskies star is already on a pro level when it comes to touch, breaking down defenses, accuracy, and working through progressions. With him as the Seahawks’ possible quarterback, there’s a chance for Seattle to improve its record next season.
