Tennessee 2024 NFL Combine Central: Tracking trio of former Vols in Indianapolis
Three former Vols are being tracked by Tennessee 2024 NFL Combine Central in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS – It’s a big week for a trio of former
Tennessee players looking to position themselves for the next step of their football careers. The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is underway this week in Indianapolis with on-field workouts running Thursday through Sunday, and the Vols will have three players – TennesseeJoe Milton III, running back Jaylen Wright and cornerback Kamal Hadden – representing the program coming off 20 wins in three seasons, including a 9-4 record in 2023. All three players hope to improve their chances of being selected and selected high in the 2024 NFL Draft as they start their professional careers, and GoVols247 will be on hand in Indianapolis this week talking with them and tracking the results when they take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The pre-draft process started with the Reese’s Senior Bowl for Milton, and he’ll have a chance to showcase his unique talents to teams as he looks to solidify his stock. Coming off a 1,000-yard season for the SEC’s top rushing offense, Wright missed the Senior Bowl to ensure he was healthy for the Combine, and in this setting he’ll have a chance to show he’s one of the top running backs in the draft class. Hadden is coming off a season-ending shoulder injury he suffered in October when he was playing the best football of his Tennessee career and vaulting himself up draft boards.
The NFL Network will televise the on-field workouts later in the week. Coverage of the workouts start at 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday (when Hadden and the defensive backs are up) and 1 p.m. on Saturday (when Milton and Wright will perform with the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers) and Sunday. The trio will have their media interview sessions the morning before their on-field workouts.
