The Loudon High School softball team lost 5-3 in its second home matchup of the season against Midway High School on Monday night, March 18.

The Lady Redskins fell behind early and were forced to play catch up during the entire matchup. While Loudon faced an uphill battle, the team continued to fight and show immense effort despite the scoreboard.

The Lady Redskins rallied in the bottom of the seventh, but in the end they couldn’t overcome the deficit.“The girls showed a lot of grit and never gave up,” Loudon High School head coach Bridget Geames said. “We have to clean up some things on the bases, especially on defense, but our offense is coming along.
