Following the Denver Broncos’ 21-20 triumph over the Minnesota Vikings, veteran safety Kareem Jackson was handed a further four-game suspension by the NFL, according to Mike Klis of 9NEWS. Jackson struck Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs, who was carrying the ball on a planned rushing play, during Minnesota’s opening possession.
Dobbs fumbled, and Broncos CB Ja’Quan McMillian recovered it, even though Jackson wasn’t given credit for forcing it. The officiating crew for the game did not reprimand Jackson.
Jackson received a letter from NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan informing him of the ban once more. What Runyan wrote was reported by Klis.
