The New York Rangers have acquired center Alexander Wennberg from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for a second-round draft

pick in the 2024 NHL draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft. Wennberg will be coming with half of his contract

Wennberg stepping into the bottom six to fill a hole either between Rempe and Edstrom or between Cuylle and Kakko, letting Brodzinski find a more natural home lower down the lineup.

While this isn’t someone who can produce like Filip Chytil lower down the lineup, there’s no denying that he is still a capable player that will make the Rangers better for the playoffs. This isn’t Henrique or Lindholm who some wanted when Chytil was shut down for the year, but this is a good player
