Following The changes in Alabama Under there new head coach Kalen DeBoer there will be adjustments made to Alabama football spring practice…
Spring practice for Alabama football, led by new head coach Kalen DeBoer, is scheduled to begin next week. The NCAA requires the Crimson Tide to have 15 practices before spring ball begins on Monday.
UA’s spring break, which takes place from March 8–17, will come after three practices for the Crimson Tide. After the break, Alabama’s remaining twelve workouts will take place on the practice pitch.
April 13, UA’s traditional A-Day game at Bryant-Denny Stadium, will mark the conclusion of spring practice. Is the game’s format going to remain the same as it was in previous years? DeBoer, who succeeded Saban after the former coach of the Crimson Tide won six national titles, announced his retirement in January.
a-day isset to start that day at 3 p.m. Connecticut time.
Increased media access is one improvement brought about by DeBoer. Limited practice watching will be permitted, and assistant coaches will be available for interviews.
With the exception of sporadic coordinator interviews and bowl access, which the Tide had little control over, Saban had imposed a one-voice policy at Alabama, essentially eliminating assistant access. He also totally stopped allowing reporters to practise access late in his stint at UA.
Additionally, on March 20, UA has set its pro day. Players from Saban’s final squad who are eligible for the draft will participate.
